KwaZulu-Natal High Court

Two divisions of the High Court of South Africa are called the KwaZulu-Natal High Court. The Kwa-Zulu-Natal High Court, Pietermaritzburg (formerly the Natal Provincial Division) has jurisdiction over the whole province of KwaZulu-Natal. The KwaZulu-Natal High Court, Durban (formerly the Durban and Coast Local Division) has concurrent jurisdiction over the coastal districts of the province including the city of Durban.

The Durban High Court was the location of the Schabir Shaik trial.

When the Superior Courts Bill is passed by Parliament, these two courts will be merged to form two "seats" of a single KwaZulu-Natal High Court.
